About Me

Lucky Ohwofasa Eghagbevwa is a dedicated and accomplished professional with a diverse background in healthcare, business, and community leadership. He is a passionate advocate for mental health and community development, with a proven track record of positively impacting those around him. Lucky is married to Jenice Fasa Eghagbevwa, and they have children together.

Education and Professional Experience

Lucky’s educational journey has provided him with a strong foundation in both business and healthcare. He is currently pursuing an MSc in Psychosocial Intervention in Mental Health Care at the University of Limerick, further specializing in his field. This follows his BSc in Nursing (Mental Health) from Northumbria University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, which he completed in 2021.

His professional experience in healthcare began at Cygnet Healthcare in Hexham, England, where he worked as a Support Worker from 2018 to 2021 before becoming a Staff Nurse until 2023. Since 2023, he has served as a Registered Mental Nurse for the Health Service Executive (HSE), Ireland’s public health service.

Before his career in healthcare, Lucky gained significant experience in business and management, holding a Business Management Degree from Dublin City University (2012) and a Higher Diploma in Personnel Management from University College Cork (2011). He also held a Level 6 Certificate in Business Management from Cork College of Commerce (2009) and a Diploma in Law from Delta State University, Nigeria (2004). From 2011 to 2018, he worked for HCL Technology in Cork.

Leadership and Community Involvement

Lucky is a visionary leader committed to uplifting his community. As the Founder and CEO of the Fasa Hope Foundation, he has spearheaded initiatives to support those in need. He is also a prominent figure in the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Ireland, where he was elected President in 2024. His extensive involvement in the organization includes serving as Vice President and as the inaugural Public Relations Officer.

In addition to his work with the UPU, Lucky has demonstrated strong leadership within his local community in Nigeria. He formerly held the positions of Vice Chairman of the Enerhen Community Development Committee (ECDC), Chairman of the Enerhen Community Contractor’s Committee (ECCC), and Director of Youth and Sports for the UPU IGHELLI (Youth Wing), Udu chapter, in 2001.

Lucky’s exceptional communication and negotiation skills have been vital in these roles, enabling him to effectively advocate for community needs and drive positive change. His dedication to service and continuous personal development make him an invaluable asset to his community.
